The detox is over!
With all the excitement over the craft fair - thanks for all your lovely comments and encouragement by the way - I forgot to update on my progress with the Dr. Joshi detox. I finished up on Saturday, and I think the results have been good. I lost a few pounds, I'm feeling better and have more energy, and I haven't had a serious headache, besides the caffiene withdrawl ones, over the last few weeks. We went out for brekkie on Saturday morning to celebrate the end of the detox and I ordered my pre-detox usual - a latte and a frittata bagel. I had two sips of the coffee and didn't want anymore, and I felt very bloated after eating the bagel. So, I've decided to follow a more relaxed version of the detox on a daily basis - basically, just cutting back on bread, dairy, caffiene and alcohol. I hope that the nice results continue - as I'm going to need lots of energy over the next couple of months in the lead up to the craft fair!
Oh, and this is just a gratuitous thermos shot. I bought this thermos a couple of weeks ago - for some reason, I've always wanted a Chinese-type thermos. I think it's really pretty, but it's highly impractical - it's not watertight.

aw - YAY! I'm glad you're feeling healthy and energetic. It's funny how just a shift in your eating can make such a difference. I hope you keep it up - and I may lok into this Dr Joshi guy myself...
Gorgeous thermos, too!
I am so glad to hear about the detox results, and your decision to continue it lightly.
I have a very similar thermos, but mine is aqua and red. I have never used it, it just sits in the kitchen being pretty.
Congratulations on continuing with the program + for the coffee kiss off. I did the same thing with Diet Coke + have never looked back (still can't shake the coffee monkey off my back). How wonderful that this will give you the energy to complete everything on your TO DO list.
love the flask, i have wanted one of those for ages too.
