I've been reading all over the web about Top Design - that sounds like one cool show. Unfortunately, we will not be able to see this excellent program in my part of the world for about a zillion years! Fortunately, I've stumbled on CBC's Fashion File Host Hunt, and I've really been enjoying it. All the people above are competing to host CBC's Fashion File, and have to complete a number of challenges. This week, they had to look at models wearing outfits and identify the designer. Next week looks really cool - they have to do a fashion shoot using only items from Value Village. It's all really great - and 100% Canadian! So, be patriotic - join me in watching Fashion File Host Hunt, eh? (I know, that's so corny - but watch it anyway and support our national public broadcaster).

I wondered when that was starting! Thanks for the heads up!
Trudi, a much overdue "hello" and "Happy Birthday". I am up to the top of my head in report card writing these days and just checked out your blog for the first time in ages. Thanks for the tip of the hat. It is much apppreciated. Hope you enjoyed your day. Talk to you soon.
Cheers, Denise
I really want to thank you for this post ! You made me watch the show for the first time thursday and I liked it a lot. It's not too long, the contestants looked to me as they kwew what they were talking about and most of all, watching that episode led me to a nice find : Valuevillage ! The next morning I was there (we have two in Montréal) and bought four adorable vintage belt (1.99 each!), a shawl and a pair of cute shoes. I can't believe I lived 34 years without shopping there. About Top design, I don't think we Canadian miss much : I downloaded the two episodes via mininova.org and didn't like it : the judges are boring and the rooms that the contestants designed weren't inspiring to me. It just can't stand the comparison with my beloved Project runway. I really enjoy reading you and sorry for my english !
Denise, belated thanks for the birthday wishes! And Catherine, thanks for your comment. I'm glad you like the blog, and that you found Value Village. I wish you a future with many great finds. By the way - your English is really good!
